12BW2 - NC Pilot Assisted

In the case of pilot assisted valves, a diaphragm is placed between the solenoid and the main valve opening and it is a variation in pressure at this diaphragm that activates the valve.

When the solenoid is energised, the plunger opens the pilot orifice in the centre of the diaphragm and relieves pressure from the top of the diaphragm to the outlet side of the valve. This results in an unbalanced condition which allows the main line pressure to lift the diaphragm off the main orifice and, thereby, open the valve.

When the solenoid is de-energised, the pilot orifice closes and full line pressure is applied to the top of the diaphragm through a bleed orifice. This provides a seating force that tightly closes the valve. Normally Open pilot assisted valves operate on a similar principle but with opposite effects from the pressure variations.

Pilot Assisted solenoid valves are used to control much greater flow or pressure requirements than direct acting valves.

The Goyen BW 2 way normally closed series are forged bodied internal pilot operated general purpose fluid control valves. This range features a floating primary diaphragm.

Equipped with inline connections BW series solenoid coil activated valves are available optionally in brass and nickel plated brass body materials.

Available in 6 port sizes 1/4" and 1 1/2" allowing the media flow rate required in your application to be met.

The Goyen BW 2 way normally opened series are forged brass bodied, internal pilot operated general purpose fluid control valves.

This series is identical to the BW normally closed series except these normally opened valves shut when the coil is activated sealing off fluid flow. It also features a powerful B type AC/DC solenoid coil.

Equipped with inline connections, BW series N.O. activated valves are available optionally in brass and nickel plated brass body materials.

The Goyen BWJ 2 way normally closed series are forged brass bodied internal pilot operated general purpose fluid control valves. This range features a coupled diaphragm allowing valve operation at low pressure differentials.

Equipped with inline connections, the BWJ series solenoid coil activated valves are available optionally in brass and nickel plated brass body materials.

Available in 5 port sizes 1/4" through to 1" allowing the media flow rate required in your application met.

This series features a floating primary diaphragm and smaller Q sized AC solenoid coil.

The Goyen QWJ 2 way normally closed series are forged brass bodied, internal pilot operated general purpose fluid control valves.

This series is identical to the BW and QW series except it features a coupled diaphragm allowing valve operation at low press differentials. It also features a smaller Q type AC solenoid coil compared with the BW and BWJ series.

Equipped with inline connections, QW series coil activated valves are available optionally in brass and nickel plated brass body materials.
